High School students are given in a 3-5-day program an overview on agriculture and crop protection technologies. On this occasion they gain experimental lab experience on basic microbiology, entomology and weed science.

approx. 50 per year (9 to 17 years old)

Thematic Focus:

    • High school students: Training on agricultural life science based on crop protection technology, laboratory trials and farming experience of agricultural science (Diseases, Pests, Weeds and Crop management methodologies)

    • Elementary school: Introduction of crop protection and experience crop cultivation methods like rice transplanting and vegetable harvest

    Background and History:

     

    The program began in 2010, requested by the high school. Their intention was to experience scientific experiments in R&D laboratory of a chemical or life science company.
